"I'm excited for a number of reasons. I believe this will be the first ever skating show in an outdoor ballpark. To be performing in the most beautiful stadium in the nation and sharing the stage with Barry Manilow, whom I have admired for years, will be surreal for me. If you think putting an ice surface in a baseball field is hard, just try choosing 8 Barry Manilow songs to skate to from his long list of hits. Sharing the ice with my special guest Dorothy Hamill and this company of world class skaters will be the icing on the cake." – Brian Boitano

"Brian has put together an amazing group of talent. I'm so honored to have been asked to sing while they skate," commented Manilow. "I'm practicing my double-herniated-triple-backbreaking-axle in case they ask me to skate!"

Boitano captured his first National title in 1985, won two World titles and the 1988 Olympic Gold Medal. He has won more professional titles than any other skater in the history of the sport and is also the last American man to capture an Olympic gold medal in figure skating. He is a member of both the World and U.S. Figure Skating Halls of Fame. In 1994, he formed White Canvas Productions, the company where he currently serves as artistic director, creating more than 18 skating specials.

Once proclaimed by Rolling Stone magazine "The Showman of Our Generation," Manilow's unparalleled career encompasses virtually every arena of music, including performing, composing, arranging, and producing. A Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Manilow has triumphed in every medium of entertainment. Industry charts rank him the undisputed Number One Adult Contemporary Artist of All Time with record sales exceeding 75 million world-wide. The Greatest Songs of the Seventies (released September 18) is the next release in a series of Manilow's best-selling tribute albums of popular music which includes The Greatest Songs of the Fifties and The Greatest Songs of the Sixties. Manilow's last three albums, which includes Fifties, Sixties and Ultimate Manilow, have surpassed 5 million in cumulative sales.
