The 'little site that could' celebrates its 10th anniversary on-line

Yahoo!, AOL, Amazon, Ticketmaster, and... the BarryNet? Who would've thought that a website started ten years ago for Barry Manilow fans would still be around a week, a month, or even a year later?
Not many critics did at the time. But after 15 months it became the official website of the Barry Manilow International Fan Club and spawned off an on-line ordering merchandise site, ManilowDirect, which later became the Official Merchandise store at www.starz.bz/barrymanilow. A decade, and millions of visitors later, the BarryNet continues to be a fun place to point-and-click on for Barry fans around the world, whether they've been with him less than 30 seconds or over 30 years! |
