50th CLIO Awards
Barry Honored with Prestigious CLIO Award!

In honor of the monumental 50th Anniversary CLIO Awards, the Moving Image Awards celebrated the 1970s and 1980s with a video montage remembering the television advertisements that were made popular during those two decades. Barry Manilow received an Honorary CLIO Award for his production of some of the most famous advertising jingles of all time for companies such as State Farm, Band-Aid, Tab and Stridex. Manilow also performed a live onstage medley of his 1970s advertising jingles.

29th Annual A Capitol Fourth Celebration

Barry Manilow will both open and close the concert broadcast with a stirring medley of hits and patriotic classics along with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Choral Arts Society of Washington. He will be joined by the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, international pop sensation Natasha Bedingfield, the Tony and Grammy Award-winning cast of Jersey Boys, multi Grammy Award-nominee Michael Feinstein and acclaimed classical pianist Andrew von Oeyen. This star-studded cast will light up the stage on the West Lawn of the United States Capitol for the 29th annual A CAPITOL FOURTH celebration featuring unrivaled musical performances with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of America's prince of pops Erich Kunzel.

Recap: Barry opened the celebration with "It's A Miracle / Daybreak / Somewhere In The Night / This One's For You" and everyone's favorite "Copacabana (At The Copa)," and closed the evening's concert with his patriotic anthem "Let Freedom Ring."

And the second is that he's raising money to get musical instruments into Los Angeles schools!
